edwink I have heard from a couple of sources that the lexus hybrids are good options. I am personally waiting for BMW to create a more fuel efficient 3 series convertable. I have also invested from money on Ford: the new CEO is from Boeing and boeing did not only some interesting supply chain optimizations but they have been integrating some interesting composites into the plan. They could try to do the same thing with the car: there is a lot of innovation potential on the materials side.
sandeep Ah, I live in Michigan: Not a good place for hybrid cars :) Its the GM/Ford/Chrysler state! Not an expert of hybrid cars, but heard good reviews about prius. Go for some Japanese or European car. Only gas guzzlers come out of Detroit!

yves If you trust the following two articles, you may want to try the Toyota Prius II rather than the Honda. Last I don't believe Lexus and other luxury cars will match what you're looking for.

skiss It sounds like a great idea. If you have a hybrid, why not charge it on the grid instead of filling up the tank with ridiculously expensive gas.
